What Is NOT Included in a Deep Cleaning Service?

At Spotless Homes, we take pride in delivering top-quality cleaning services. Our deep cleaning package is designed to tackle hard-to-reach areas and ensure your home feels refreshed and spotless. However, some tasks are not included in our standard deep cleaning for safety, efficiency, and clarity. Understanding these exclusions can help set expectations and ensure the best experience.
1. Washing Personal Items (e.g., Blankets & Laundry)
While we ensure that beds are neatly made (with one sheet change included when a fresh set is provided), washing blankets, clothes, or any other laundry is not part of the deep cleaning package. We believe laundry is a personal task that should only be handled upon special request and for an additional fee.
2. Removing Permanent Stains (e.g., Rust or Hard Water Spots)
Our cleaners use professional-grade solutions, but some stains, such as rust, hard water deposits, or grout discoloration, may not be removable even with a deep clean. We always try different methods, but deep cleaning doesn’t guarantee the removal of such permanent marks.
3. Touching or Rearranging Personal Belongings
For your privacy and safety, our team does not move or clean inside personal items like jewelry boxes, document piles, or other personal storage. Unless specifically requested, we focus on open areas to avoid any accidental misplacement.
4. Outdoor Cleaning
Deep cleaning covers the interior of your home. Tasks like patio cleaning, garage sweeping, or window cleaning from the outside are not part of this service unless discussed beforehand.
5. Carpet Shampooing or Upholstery Deep Cleaning
While we vacuum all accessible carpet areas and manually remove fur from furniture, deep steam cleaning or shampooing of carpets and upholstery is a separate service. If you need these, let us know, and we can help arrange it.
6. Cleaning Behind Large Appliances
Moving heavy appliances like refrigerators, ovens, or washing machines is not included due to safety concerns. However, we will clean around and under them if they are pulled out before the service.
7. High-Risk Areas & Specialty Surfaces
Cleaning areas that require specialized care (like marble countertops or antique furniture) is done only upon request with appropriate cleaning solutions. We also avoid cleaning high, hard-to-reach areas without proper equipment to ensure safety.
8. Garbage Removal Beyond Routine Disposal
While we dispose of minor trash during cleaning, significant garbage removal or disposal of large items is not included. Our cleaner will always check before leaving to ensure routine garbage is handled, but extensive removal requires extra service.
9. Dishwashing Beyond a Small Load
A few dishes are no problem, but anything beyond a single load is considered an extra service with a small fee. Let us know in advance if this is needed.
10. Pet Waste or Hazardous Materials
For safety and hygiene reasons, our cleaners do not handle pet waste, insect infestations, mold removal, or hazardous materials. Such tasks require specialized services.
Why These Exclusions?
Our goal is always to provide safe, high-quality service while respecting your home and preferences. By clarifying what deep cleaning includes and excludes, we ensure transparency and trust.
If you’re ever unsure about what’s included, don’t hesitate to ask! We’re happy to accommodate special requests where possible or recommend additional services.
Bonus: For our valued customers, we occasionally offer free add-ons like oven cleaning ($30 value) for your next booking—because your satisfaction means everything to us.
